The official language of the school is English.
French is taught as a second language during elementary school. Students can choose their first language as an elective or an after-school credit.
We strive to create an environment that supports bilingual students, enabling them to leverage the benefits of their native language.
Students are responsible for bringing their lunches from home.
The school facilitates the provision of lunch by offering facilities for reheating and serving food to students.
It is the families' primary responsibility to address and inform the school regarding their children's food sensitivities and allergies.
If the school is able to prepare and provide lunches, families will be promptly notified.
The school will provide a simple breakfast in the first break and one snack when going home to the students, which may include a variety of options such as:
It is necessary, and we highly recommend that students have a snack with them for the rest of the break hours.
We encourage families to contribute to providing and preparing daily snacks for their children, both for individual consumption and for sharing within the classroom.
At the Peace School, students are not required to wear uniforms. We believe in allowing them to express their individuality by wearing their favourite clothes.
However, we kindly request that families send their children to school in clothing that they do not mind getting dirty. Our programs involve hands-on activities, constant practice, and gaining valuable experience. As a result, there is a possibility that clothes may become damaged or dirty during these activities.
Students are expected to bring their essential equipment, including stationery, notebooks, and painting supplies throughout the day.
Students are encouraged to have personal items, such as bags, notebooks, or stationery, based on their preferences or cultural practices.
At our school, we celebrate and embrace cultural diversity, recognizing our students' unique needs and preferences.
Students of any nationality, ethnicity or religion can apply for the Peace School.
Based on the culture of peace, the school welcomes the diversity of students and families.
The Peace School embraces cultural diversity and encourages students to actively participate in national and religious celebrations and ceremonies that are meaningful to their culture.
We warmly welcome and support the national and religious celebrations of different nationalities in our school community.
Annually, the school organizes various international festivals approved by the United Nations. These include:
At the Peace School, our field trip programs offer diverse experiences, as we firmly believe that education extends beyond the classroom. Students can participate in various daily visits throughout the city, carefully designed to align with classroom lessons and enhance the learning experience. During these excursions, students engage in enriching activities such as guided walks, park visits, and exploring various locations alongside their teachers. Our field trips encompass a multitude of educational destinations, including museums, shops, companies, galleries, workshops, factories, places of worship, the Zoo, and other educational venues.
Students can look forward to trips tailored to complement their lessons and curriculum during the academic year. Multiple trips may be organized each season, offering diverse and enriching experiences.
Families will receive comprehensive information about the planned trips at the beginning of the semester, ensuring they are well-informed. Please note that the cost of the trips is the responsibility of the families, and details regarding expenses will be provided in advance.
To ensure the well-being and safety of our students, we request that families follow these guidelines:
