The first-ever Persian Stories Festival, organized by the Peace School in Toronto, was held on September 22, 2024, in honour of the International Day of Peace. This festival aimed to bring together Persian-speaking communities from Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Iran to celebrate and preserve the rich heritage of Persian folktales. The event fostered intergenerational dialogue, promoted cultural exchange, and introduced younger generations to the values embedded in Persian storytelling.
The festival's mission was to enhance cultural awareness, encourage family engagement, and highlight the shared heritage of Persian-speaking communities. By involving experts, families, and volunteers, the festival sought to bridge gaps between generations, providing a platform for cultural interaction and knowledge transfer.
